Cassini spacecraft, currently on mission in the outer solar system to photograph the planet Saturn, took the opportunity to take some unique pictures of the Earth, July 19.
NASA warned that these pictures are available on July 19 and called the land to turn to Saturn and move your arms to the sky that day.
A particular alignment
Photographed over 1.4 billion km distance, our planet appears as a tiny point of light blue. We obviously can not see or continents, let alone the thousands of people who attended the event organized by NASA. But if you zoom, you can see our moon, clear and white.
It took a particular alignment, July 19, in order to take the shot. This included the Sun is hidden by Saturn, so its rays not damaged ent targets of the probe.
