New technologies for agriculture – Ouest-France

Thursday, Agricultural College Vire had the sixth edition of “Growing otherwise.” Organized by the Chamber of Agriculture of Calvados, this day presented to farmers, elected officials, teachers and students, the new techniques that apply on farms in the coming years.

Among the subjects who selected public attention include the drone management tool of the future for precision agriculture. In particular for measuring the dose of biomass rape, with the support of GPS.

In total, there were 22 workshops on the school website. Robotics is the future of agriculture, yet requires heavy investment.
