Molinari !: connected environments and new technologies – Huffington Post Quebec

Under the theme of the season, “Environments and new technologies,” the Quebec Contemporary Music Society (SMCQ) will Molinari tuned! November 2 at 15h at the Tanna Schulich Hall (McGill University).

This show, for music lovers, exploring new technologies. In doing so, the string quartet, consisting of Olga Ranzenhofer (violin), Frédéric Bednarz (violin), Pierre-Alain Bouvrette (cello) and Frederic Lambert (viola) – to be replaced by Brian Bacon during his paternity leave – will new sounds to the public in String Quartet No. 4 Jonathan Harvey, where listeners will hear musical shadows; in Twenty Windows , which has a melody inspired by the observation of twenty windows by Laurie Radford and At first light Yannick Plamondon, which pays tribute to the work of painter Fernand Leduc.

At 14:15, a roundtable discussion on the theme of the relationship between music and visual arts will be led by Walter Boudreau, Yannick Plamondon and a visual artist.
