Security involuntary lane departure warning, collision avoidance system, remote control or fatigue detector, these modern aids driving can prevent many accidents. More and more vehicles are equipped, and their manufacturers do claim in their advertising. But these devices do not have the same security value.
How to choose your car and its equipment is essential for security, say in a joint statement Tuesday the Transport and Environment Association (ATE) and the Accident Prevention Bureau (EPS). The two organizations have identified the various driver assistance systems and car models so equipped.
They present the results on a new platform. It is available on the Web (www.auto-sure.ch).
